Artarmon Reserve Draft Reserve Action Plan

Consultation has concluded

Artarmon Reserve is a multi-purpose 10 hectare reserve providing recreational opportunities and important refuge for native plants and wildlife. It is a special place where the local community can enjoy the natural environment in an urban area. Bushland here is significant as it acts as a corridor for native animals linking them with larger bushland areas in Middle Harbour and along the Lane Cove River.

The Draft Artarmon Reserve Action Plan details management actions for a five year period. Key actions include:

  • continuation of weed management in previously worked areas,
  • completion of controlled burning,
  • creek stabilisation work.
The plan also contains reserve, plant and habitat profiles; statements of significance relating to Aboriginal, local history and wildlife habitat; Impacts to habitat; and past achievements.

This Draft Reserve Action Plan refers only to bushland and all actions are related to natural area management. It is to be read in conjunction with the Park Master Plan for Artarmon Reserve which incorporates the sportsfield, playground, car parks and shared paths.

Council would like to know what makes Artarmon Reserve so special to you?

Do you like to use the bush walking tracks, picnic areas and barbecues, the children's play equipment, or just to escape from the hustle and bustle?

How do you spend your time at Artarmon Reserve?

Do you have any comments to make regarding the Draft Reserve Action Plan?
