Consultation has concluded

Willoughby City Council is seeking input from the local community before Friday 23rd February 2018, on an upgrade proposal for the Castle Cove Town Centre Streetscape (located on the northern side of Deepwater Road between No. 10 Deepwater Rd and Holly St).

The proposed works include removal and replacement of existing bitumen footpaths, and street furniture to provide a more attractive and inviting town centre.

As part of the proposal two options have been provided. These are consistent in layout and differ in paving pattern only. The revised layout proposes the proposed use of precast unit paving ranging in size from 150x300 to 600x300. Two paving colour options are proposed. These would adopt a honed finish for the body and shot blast finish for the contrast paver.

The following improvements are common for each option:

  • Revised seating - Total of 5 free standing 1200mm benches

  • Concrete seat wall

  • New Bins - Total 2

  • Raised kerb around tree pits

  • New single sided community notice board

  • Revitalisation of existing tree pits

  • Additional shrub planting to Holly Street garden bed

Council seeks your opinion on the proposal and has provided the following questions. Any constructive feedback or suggestions are also welcome in the “Additional Comments” area of the survey.

Thank you again for your assistance and contribution.
