Urban Bushland

Consultation has concluded

The Urban Bushland Plan of Management (UBPOM) is an overarching plan that establishes clear and consistent management polices across all bushland areas, and was recently updated by Council to reflect changes in legislation, council policy, knowledge base, management practices, community attitudes and uses since the last edition in 1997.

Bushland within Willoughby covers approximately 12% of the Willoughby LGA, which equates to over 340ha. With population growth and more urban pressures placed on local bushland, the UBPOM is a vital management document for our local environment.

Volume 1 of the UBPOM outlines management aims, objectives, targets, actions and measures and is now available for comment. Actions and responsibilities for individual reserves are outlined in detail in specific Reserve Action Plans, with all management goals and policies contained in the Urban Bushland Plan of Management applying to these.
