We are pleased to advise that Willoughby Council has been successful in receiving funding for the following road safety projects as part of the Australian and NSW Governments' Road Safety Program.
The Australian and NSW Governments are investing significant funding to improve safety and reduce crashes on NSW roads as part of the Road Safety Program.
The Program seeks to improve road safety for pedestrians and cyclists by installing measures such as intersection upgrades, raised crossings and pedestrian refuges.
Transport for NSW Greater Sydney values partnerships with Local Government to plan and deliver infrastructure projects in our communities.
What is proposed?
- Raised pedestrian crossing - for traffic calming
- Pedestrian fencing - for improved safety
- Traffic control improvement
These works will provide more safety and accessibility.
