Willoughby City Walking Strategy and Action Plan - Stage 1
Walking is an important aspect of everyday life in Willoughby, with the potential to boost physical and mental health, reduce road congestion, improve air quality, and foster social connection. For this reason, Council is committed to making walking more accessible, enjoyable and safe across the LGA.
To develop Council’s draft Walking Strategy and Action Plan, we invite residents to share with us your experience of walking in Willoughby, and any suggestions you have which would improve your walking experience. Please note that walking includes all forms of pedestrian movement – whether on foot, using wheelchairs, mobility scooters, or other assistive devices.
The Walking Strategy and Action Plan will establish a framework to assist Council with the ongoing development of walking infrastructure, connecting communities, and enhancing livability within the Willoughby LGA.
Note: Before you begin the survey, you may wish to open the 'Examples of crossing facilities' information page in a separate tab to familiarise yourself with crossing facility terminology and refer back to the examples for the relevant question in the survey.
