Amendment to Willoughby Development Control Plan: Part C3 Building Sustainability

Consultation has concluded

Council is seeking comment on a draft amendment of Part C3 Willoughby Development Control Plan (WDCP) – Building Sustainability which is on public exhibition from 6 February to Thursday 5 March 2020.

The WDCP is a very large document.

To make it easier for comment and consideration, Council is progressively reviewing different sections over the coming year. The current focus is on Part C3 Building Sustainability.

The proposed amendments to Part C3 of the DCP are to improve design and construction of developments to create energy efficient and environmentally sustainable buildings.

The amended plan provides controls based on the type and cost of developments, including; requirements for a Sustainability Performance Statement, Green Star rating report and/or an Energy Commitment Agreement under the National Australian Built Environmental Rating Scheme (NABERS).
