BACKGROUND

The Artarmon Local Centre Public Domain Masterplan

The Artarmon Local Centre Public Domain Masterplan develops a long term vision for the public domain areas on the western side of the railway line in Artarmon Local Centre. The plan builds on a number of existing strategies and plans, including the Draft Willoughby Local Centres Strategy to 2036 and incorporates community feedback received through extensive consultation with the local community since early 2017 for the Strategy. The Artarmon Local Centre Public Domain Masterplan will guide future projects in the western side of Artarmon Local Centre, including the Hampden Road Public Domain Upgrade.

Hampden Road Public Domain Upgrade

Focused around the Broughton Road and Hampden Road intersection, the upgrade will include the construction of traffic calming devices on both sides of the railway line in Elizabeth Street, Hampden Road, Francis Road, Broughton Road and Jersey Road. Works will also include the installation of a new signalised intersection at Broughton Road and Hampden Road and an upgrade to the park adjacent to the railway line around the entry to the station, including a new toilet/amenities block, a terraced seating area, new shared paths and paving, new street furniture and new plantings and street trees.

The purpose of this community consultation was to inform interested residents of the proposed works and seek comments prior to finalising plans and programming for the project.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the works, please contact Gynt Drinan - Project Manager Team Leader (02) 9777 1000, Gynt.Drinanl@Willoughby.nsw.gov.au.
