Activating The Bailey, Castlecrag
We'd love to hear your ideas and suggestions for the future of The Bailey in Castlecrag.
It's a well loved small neighbourhood reserve located at 44 The Bulwark, Castlecrag, offering pleasant views across Sailors Bay. The reserve includes open grassed areas, landscaped indigenous planting and pedestrian access to adjoining walkways and nearby residential properties, providing a quiet recreational space integrated within the surrounding natural landscape.
Existing features include:
- Two swings (one toddler swing)
- An embankment slide
- A timber climb-on goanna
- Picnic table and seating
- A sandstone ringtail possum sculpture by Chris Bennetts
Let us how we can work together to expand current recreation activities onsite.
Community feedback will be used to guide and inform Council’s future decisions on potential activation initiatives, and also for long-term planning and prioritisation of future renewals and upgrades in the parkland (excluding bushland areas). Engagement on The Bailey in Castlecrag will uphold placemaking principles in alignment with Council’s Public Spaces and Recreation Strategy 2024.
