Update

Thank you for your feedback. Council adopted the Bicentennial Reserve Plan of Management in February 2021. The agenda and minutes from the Ordinary Council Meeting on 8 February 2021 can be found on our website.

The Public Hearing report is now available in the Document Library. It provides a summary of the public hearing held on Wednesday 4 November 2020 and includes the submissions to the draft Plan of Management in respect to the categorisation of Bicentennial Reserve.

Willoughby City Council welcomes your feedback on the draft Plan of Management for Bicentennial Reserve using the survey below. You are invited to attend a Public Hearing on-line ZOOM webinar on Wednesday 4 November at 6.30pm.

The Willoughby Leisure Centre was opened in 1990, and is currently in need of significant renewal / upgrading work. Council resolved in May 2019 that planning commence on a major upgrade of the Pool Hall to include a new program pool, lap pool and learn to swim facility.

A new Plan of Management is required to plan for the renewal of assets within the reserve, to balance recreation needs and local amenity, and to authorise the granting of leases, licences or other estate for The Incinerator and for facilities within the Willoughby Leisure Centre.

A copy of the draft Plan of Management is available on the Council website and can be viewed at:

  • Have Your Say Document Library - online
  • Council Administration Centre, 31 Victor St Chatswood
