Our community has told us that they want more sustainable transport choices to get people from A to B available in Willoughby.

Car share services continue to evolve with the application of new technology. This has led to an increase in the number of car share operators and car share vehicle parking demand in Sydney. This dynamic environment has meant that a review of Council's approach to the management of car share services and parking is necessary.

The car share study will involve research, audit, technical analysis, mapping and reporting of car share operation and provision including a review of the car share market and service providers, parking provision in public roads and car parks in Willoughby, use, demand forecasting and future provision requirements.

Council’s specialist Traffic and Transport team seek to manage the high demand for parking and movement on the roads by optimising the limited road space and parking available on our public roads and car parks and balance the competing needs of our community and stakeholders, road use demand, and community expectations.
