Council-related Development Application Conflict of Interest Policy
Between 28 March and 26 April 2023, Willoughby City Council sought feedback on a Council-related Development Application Conflict of Interest Policy & Council-related Development Application Conflict of Interest Procedures document.
The Council-related Development Application Conflict of Interest Policy sets out the principles for the management of relevant Development Applications and the Council-related Development Application Conflict of Interest Procedure outlines the process required in technical detail.
The production of these two documents followed legislative changes introduced by the NSW Government which require the existing Policy be rescinded and a new Policy introduced.
The Council's previous policy (Guidelines for Assessment of Council Development Applications) was adopted in June 1997.
On 26 June 2023, the Council determined that no change was required to the Policy, following the consideration of feedback during the engagement process.
