Consultation has concluded
Council is currently developing the Willoughby Inclusion Action Plan (DIAP). Each Local Government Organisation is required, under the NSW Disability Inclusion Act 2014 (DIA), to undertake disability inclusion action planning by the 1st July 2017. The DIAP builds on social equity requirements within Council’s planning framework to strengthen commitment to inclusion, consultation and rights for people with disability.
As part of this process Council requires feedback from people with disability, support people, service providers and any other interested parties to help us to understand the strengths and weaknesses of current Council policies, processes, infrastructure and services and to provide suggestions to assist Council to create a more inclusive Willoughby.
There are 3 consultation sessions scheduled at the Dougherty Community Centre, 7 Victor St Chatswood:
Thursday 25th August from 10am to 11.00am
Monday 29th August from 1pm to 2.00pm
Saturday 10th September from 1pm to 2.00pm
To RSVP to these sessions and provide details regarding any assistive requirements or technology required please contact Louise Geaghan on 9777 7802 or at Louise.Geaghan@Willoughby.nsw.gov.au
If you are unable to attend these session please complete the survey below to provide your input to the plan.
The venue is accessible and parking is available in the adjacent car park and in the Westfield car park which can be entered from Victor Street or Albert Avenue.
Feedback will be provided to each participant in the evaluation and public exhibition process. It is expected the draft plan will be completed by the 1st December 2016.
