Willoughby City Council is seeking feedback on the Draft Digital Policy from 12 August to 1 September 2024. View the draft Policy in the Document Library on this page.
The Draft Digital Policy provides an agile overarching framework that will guide digital technology investments and implementation both within Council and the Willoughby Local Government Area.
The Strategy has five basic aspirations:
1. Making life and business easy for all
2. Human-centered
3. Digitally enabled
4. Connected and inclusive
5. Future ready
In addition, the Strategy aims to future proof our digital decisions, streamline and innovate operations through the implementation of digital solutions, meet community needs for service and access to information and improve the customer experience through the use of innovative technologies. It seeks to remain relevant in a rapidly changing digital landscape and outlast the technologies it seeks to enable.
As the strategy is aspirational, it will be supported by an Information and Communications Technology (ICT) roadmap that focuses on the technical infrastructure and systems required to deliver digital services, support operations and improve the overall customer experience. The ICT roadmap will cover hardware, software, networks, cybersecurity, ICT governance and future technology projects and funding requirements.
