- 14 Heritage Items of Local Significance
By amending Schedule 5 of the Willoughby Local Environmental Plan 2012 (LEP)

1. Proposed new Heritage Conservation Area
The Planning Proposal will create a new Heritage Conservation Area to be known as the Naremburn Civic Centre Heritage Conservation Area.
This includes the adjustment of boundaries, with properties numbered 1 to 9 Ross Street being reallocated from the existing Naremburn Heritage Conservation Area into the proposed Naremburn Civic Centre Heritage Conservation Area.
2. Proposed new Heritage Items of Local Significance
Proposed Heritage Items within public areas:
- The Scarp Retaining Wall, Castlecrag, located near where The Scarp meets The Barricade
- The Rampart Culvert, Castlecrag, located between Turret and Keep Reserves
- Flat Roofed Stone Bridge, between 79 and 81 The Bulwark, Castlecrag
- Arched Stone Bridge, between 86 and 88 The Bulwark, Castlecrag
- Henry Lawson Cave, Flat Rock Gully, Naremburn
Proposed Heritage Items on private land:
- Rivett House, 148 Edinburgh Road, Castlecrag
- Albion House, 2 The Rampart, Castlecrag
- Hedberg House, 42 The Bulwark, Castlecrag
- The Salvation Army Citadel, 121 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood
- Boronia, 58 Johnson Street, Chatswood
- Chatswood Bowling Club, 655 Pacific Highway, Chatswood
- Front wall and gate pier in front of 655A Pacific Highway, Chatswood
- 23 & 25 Dalleys Road, Naremburn
- Sisters of St Joseph’s Convent, 36 Merrenburn Avenue, Naremburn

What happens after the engagement closes?
Once this engagement has closed, all submissions and comments will be reviewed, collated into an engagement outcome report and reported to Council at one of its meetings. At this meeting, Council will consider the report and whether to make a recommendation on the Planning Proposal. If supportive, this recommendation will be forwarded to the Minister and the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure together with a request to finalise and make the plan as Council is not the plan making authority for this project.
