A Newsletter in the documents section provides a brief background to the Flood Study process and its outcomes.

Following the completion of the Flood Study, Council will undertake a Floodplain Risk Management Study. This Study will be a joint project between Council and NSW Office of Environment & Heritage which will aim to build community resilience towards flooding through informing better planning of development, emergency management and community awareness.

Council will establish a Floodplain Management Committee made up of relevant Council members, state government agencies and local community representatives. If you would like to volunteer to act as a community representative on the Committee, please contact Council’s Drainage/Design Engineer Scott Kavanagh by email at: Scott.Kavanagh@Willoughby.nsw.gov.au
