What we're doing

We want to understand how people experience Chatswood South, including where it feels safe and comfortable and where it doesn’t, during the day and after dark. What we hear will help Council work out where improvements could make the biggest difference.

No decisions have been made about what those improvements might be. This is the time to share your experiences and ideas, before any plans are developed.

About the project

Willoughby City Council has received $1 million grant funding from the NSW Government through Transport for NSW's Safer Cities: Her Way 2 program to help make Chatswood South feel safer and more welcoming, especially for women, girls and gender-diverse people.

Public spaces around transport, like train stations, footpaths and the streets that connect them, are places many of us pass through every day. How safe we feel in them affects how we get around, when we travel, and whether we choose to spend time there.
