Following a public consultation process between 21st December 2022 and 21 February 2023, on 27 March 2023 Willoughby City Council adopted changes to the Community Use of Sports Facilities Policy (2021) and Synthetic Sportsgrounds Management Plan (2018) to better manage the Council's sporting facilities.

This followed a trial of extended weekend hours at Northbridge Oval in 2022.
