Consultation has concluded
Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the O.H. Reid Reserve Playground Improvement Plan.
Council received a range of playground improvement ideas, and after considering all feedback, the final Improvements Plan for O.H. Reid Reserve playground has been prepared and finalised.
The Issues and Recommendations report and a copy of the updated Improvement Plan have been uploaded and can be found under the Documents tab on the right hand side of this page.
Subject to budget approval, it is currently anticipated that construction will occur within the 2025/26 Financial Year.

Background:
In early 2024, Council initiated an 'Expression of Interest' process and facilitated a co-design workshop to establish a reserve place making group to help inform the future use of O.H. Reid Reserve. The workshop participants met in May 2024 and helped develop three place based activation ideas for the reserve which will occur in 2024/25. This group also helped us identify the need for a partial renewal of the existing playground.
As a result, we are planning to retain a few elements that are in good condition such as the basket swing, slide and climbing structure. However, other elements that have reached the end of their service life will be replaced.
