Update to the Castle Cove Golf Course Plan of Management
Why we're seeking your feedback on the draft Castle Cove Golf Course Plan of Management
The Plan of Management for Castle Cove Golf Course has been updated in response to a proposal received from the Castle Cove Country Club, which leases the golf course from Council.
Council considered the matter at its meeting held 23 March 2026 and resolved to seek feedback from the community on the draft updated Plan of Management.
What changes are proposed?
This proposal seeks minor changes to the Plan of Management which, if approved, would permit a variation to the lease that would allow temporary changes to the site while the Club's land is being redeveloped to build seniors housing units following a development approval obtained from the Sydney North Planning Panel.
Temporary uses that would be permitted during construction under a revised Plan Of Management:
- temporary use of the tennis courts as a car park
- temporary use of the tennis club house as a golf club house and pro shop

What happens next
Once this engagement has closed, all submissions and comments will be reviewed, collated into an engagement outcome report and reported to Council at one of its meetings. At this meeting, Council will consider the report and make a decision on adopting the Plan of Management. Everyone who made a submission will be notified of the meeting date.
