Click on the video link to the right of this page to find out about the Draft Resilient Willoughby Strategy and Action Plan (the Plan).
You can also download the 'Plan on a Page' or the full length Strategy and Action Plan on the right of this page and please take a few minutes to tell us your thoughts in the survey below.
You can either comment about the Plan in general or tell us in more detail about your level of support for its four resilience outcomes and the actions outlined in sections 6 and 7 of the Plan.
Background
2019-2020 was a disruptive year in Australia. We experienced a series of unprecedented shocks including record-breaking drought and heat, the Black Summer bushfires and the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Plan outlines how Willoughby City Council and its partners can support the community to overcome acute shocks and chronic stresses in the future.
It describes the challenges facing the Willoughby community and recommends ways to strengthen community resilience over the short to long term.
As shocks and stresses intensify during the 21st century, we need to recognise the importance of resilience-building to help us all adapt to life’s challenges and thrive.
Your comments on the draft Plan will help Council and the community build a more resilient future for us all in Willoughby.
