Update

Thank you for your feedback. The Tennis Court Strategy was adopted by Council in May 2020.

Background

Willoughby City Council welcomes your feedback on the draft Tennis Court Strategy.

The Willoughby Open Space and Recreation Plan 2013 required an audit of all tennis courts in the City, on public and private land. The Tennis Facility Audit and Management Review (Inside Edge Sport and Leisure Planners 2018) was completed in December 2018 and distributed to all tennis providers in the City.

The review identified inconsistencies in the manner in which Council manages tennis courts on public land.

A draft strategy to guide Council's ongoing management of tennis courts on public land is ready for public exhibition and feedback.

Council is also seeking feedback on improvements to the sports courts at Bonds Corner (next to Northbridge Golf Club, Sailors Bay Road, Northbridge).
