From 27 October 2022, a new median was to have been placed at the intersection of Edinburgh Road, just west of Linden Way, at Castlecrag.

This median had been proposed to stop motorists from crossing into the incorrect side of the road to bypass an existing speed cushion.

However, following initial community feedback, this project has been put on hold.
