Thank you to those who participated in the consultation of the Draft Urban Bushland Plan of Management (UBPoM). Following Council's November meeting, the Urban Bushland Plan of Management was adopted.
Willoughby City Council is seeking community feedback for its Draft Urban Bushland Plan of Management 2022 (UBPoM).
Please review the Draft UBPoM in the Document Library and leave your comments below in the survey prior to closure of the community consultation period at 5pm, Monday 7 March, 2022.
The UBPoM 2021 establishes clear and consistent management policies across all bushland areas throughout the Willoughby local government area. It is been prepared under the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993.
This Plan of Management is reviewed every 5 years while keeping the objectives and actions consistent. Changes include:
Incorporating legislative changes that have occurred since the plan was last reviewed.
Incorporating any new Council Policies which have been developed or modification made to previous policies, in relation to bushland.
Establishing if the Urban Bushland Plan of Management 2014 had worked effectively since being adopted by council.
Identify sections within the plan which are now inappropriate, or require updating in light of new information, changing community attitudes and/or expectations in relation to managing urban bushland.
Establishing how changes in technology may enhance the workability and ease of use for the Urban Bushland Plan of Management.
All community members who leave a comment will receive a response after the community consultation period.
