Consultation has concluded

After the public exhibition we will review all community feedback on the draft Plan of Management and report to Council with a summary of the submission and any proposed amendments.

The community feedback from the Public Hearing, submissions and Draft Plan exhibition has been taken into account to address the issues raised.

Update

Thank you for your feedback. The new Plan of Management for Warners Park was adopted by Council in September 2019. The agenda and minutes from the Ordinary Council Meeting on 9 September 2019 can be found on our website.

Background

Willoughby City Council welcomes your feedback on the draft Plan of Management for Warners Park.

The use of the park has been evolving for many years as participation in lawn bowls has declined and the 2 bowling clubs have ceased operating. The former Northbridge Bowling Club has been approved for new uses: a multipurpose community facility on the ground floor, and a café on the lower ground floor.

A copy of the draft Plan of Management is available on the Council website and can be viewed at:

  • Have Your Say Document Library - online
  • Council Administration Centre, 31 Victor St Chatswood,
  • Willoughby City Library, The Concourse, Victoria Avenue, Chatswood
  • Northbridge Branch Library, 258 Sailors Bay Road, Northbridge.

Public hearing

Local residents are invited to attend a public hearing. This provides the opportunity for the community to comment on the proposed categorisation of Warners Park being park, bushland and general community use as per the requirements of the Local Government Act 1993.

Location: The former Northbridge Bowling Club, The Outpost, Northbridge

Date: Wednesday 24 July 2019

Time: 6pm – 8.30pm

The community is encouraged to provide feedback on the Draft Plan of Management. Submissions are welcome by everyone by 5pm on Monday 5 August 2019 and can be provided via:
