1Jameskabout 6 years agoGreen roofs for all new constructions
Any new construction with a flat area over a certain size should be mandated to be a green space, bus shelters, car ports, extensions, homes etc. A green space like this has many benefits, such as: 1. Absorbing rain water, which can help lower the risk of flooding. 2. Helping flora and fauna, these small grassy areas can provide enough space to grow native flowers which can help bees and insect truce as well as the birds that feed on those. 3. Lowering temp. A green roof actually helps insulate a building which lowers the temp in seer and raises it in winter, reducing the need for air conditioners or heating.
