Artarmon Bowling Club site renewal

Consultation has concluded

Tell us what you want at the former Artarmon Bowling Club site

Council is seeking your thoughts and ideas on how council could renew the former Artarmon Bowling Club site.

Our survey consultation runs from 1st May to Friday 16th June 2017. We also invite you to attend an on-site Open Day on Sunday 21 May between 10am and 12pm and speak with staff about your ideas.

In February 2016 Council acquired the former Artarmon Bowling Club site. A condition of purchase was that the Bowling Club site remains a community recreation facility. A building audit of the 70 year old weatherboard club building indicates that an estimated $1.5m will be needed to meet current building standards.

We invite your thoughts on the types of outdoor recreation options you would like to see developed at the site. This is a unique opportunity to expand Artarmon’s public open space, and incorporate the site within the Artarmon Reserve Master Plan review.

Before sharing your ideas please take the time to:

  • Read through the FAQ’s to the right of this screen
  • View the former Artarmon Bowling Club site map
  • View the map of Council community facilities within a 2.5 km radius of Artarmon

We invite you to Have Your Say by:

Attending the Open Day to speak with staff and let us know your thoughts on
Sunday 21 May 10 am – 12 pm

Or sending a submission via email to email@willoughby.nsw.gov.au or post to Willoughby City Council , PO Box 57, Chatswood NSW 2057

The community consultation summary will be available here later in the year. Council will incorporate into this summary:

  • responses from the previous consultation on the review of the Artarmon Reserve Master Plan; and
  • information about the current stakeholders using the former club building.

The community feedback will form the basis of a draft Master Plan for the whole site, including Artarmon Reserve. This draft Master Plan will be exhibited to provide a second opportunity for comment, before a report to Council.

Council looks forward to hearing your suggestions.
