The proposed traffic plan aims to improve traffic speeds and conditions following community concerns raised about road safety.
The plan includes a series of proposed Local Area Traffic Management (LATM)devices aimed to slow traffic speeds; reduce crash severity and injuries, and ensure local residents’ amenities are maintained and enhanced.
Some of proposed key improvement works are:
Installation of 2 slow points on The Fairway to slow traffic coming down the hill;
Installation of T-junction intersection control signs and line markings on all approaches at Fullers Rd/The Fairway and The Fairway/Reid Rd;
Installation of crash barriers at the T-junction The Fairway/Reid Rd and roadside opposite property 1 and 3 Reid Drive;
Installation of traffic guide posts on Reid Drive (western side road side to improve delineation);
Installation of No Parking zone at the cul-de-sac on Reid Drive;
Installation of No Parking zone on the western side of Reid Drive between The Fairway and Oval car park;
Enhancement of street lighting on The Fairway and Reid Drive as per Australian Standard; and
Installation of ‘Pedestrians’ warning signs along The Fairway and Reid Drive.
