Pursuant to section 7.4of the Environmental Planning & Assessment Act 1979, Council has received a draft Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) relating to an exhibited Planning Proposal (council ref.: PP2017/006) with aGateway Determination (PP-2021-2467) to:
Rezone the land from R3 Medium Density Residential to B4 Mixed Use
Increase the Floor Space Ratio - from 0.9:1 to 5:1
Increase the maximum height of buildings - from 12m to part 90m and part 53m
The draft VPA secures a monetary contribution of $5,228,120 for funding public works in the Chatswood CBD area to support the development growth resulting from the increased density at the subject site.
On 3 November 2021,Council resolvedto give Public Notice of the subject VPA, in accordance withsection 7.5of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 andClause 25D of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000.
The monetary contribution provided by the VPA, if executed, will be applied towards the Community Infrastructure works under therevised draft Planning Agreement Policy, providing valuable public benefits to the Chatswood community.
