Co-design workshop

    What is a co-design workshop?

A co-design workshop is a collaborative approach to planning, design or problem-solving that actively involves the people who are affected by, or will use, a project, service or space. Rather than making decisions solely on behalf of the community, co-design works in partnership with stakeholders and community members to develop ideas, identify priorities and shape outcomes together. The process values lived experience and encourages participants to contribute insights, feedback and ideas throughout the development process to help create more inclusive, effective and user-centred outcomes.

How are the co-design workshop participants determined?

Council staff will review EOI responses received and select a smaller group of co-design workshop participants. This group will be a broadly balanced a cross-section of community and park users to ensure equitable representation and participation.

When will I be notified if I have been selected for the co-design workshop?

Council will notify selected co-design workshop participants no later than 5pm on Friday 17 July.

What if I'm unavailable to attend?

Council will be holding drop-in sessions at Bailey’s Playground in Castlecrag on Wednesday 10th June and Saturday 13 June from 9.30-11am to hear your feedback, ideas and any questions you may have.

Where/when will the co-design workshop be held?

The co-design workshop will be held at a community venue from 6:30-8pm on Monday 27 July in Naremburn 2065.

Selected co-design workshop participants will be notified by email and will include the venue details.
