Recruitment winter 2025

Why is Council establishing The Community Voice Panel?

We’re doing this because we believe decisions should reflect the full mix of voices in our community, not just the loudest or the most regular. By joining the Community Voice Panel you’re helping us build a more connected, inclusive and transparent Council, one conversation at a time.

What if I’m interested but can’t attend every panel meeting?

We understand life can get busy. While we encourage full participation, we also aim to be flexible and supportive. You’ll still be able to contribute through online discussions or short surveys if you miss a meeting.

Who can join The Community Voice Panel?

Anyone above the age of 16 that lives or works in Willoughby Local Government Area. We’re looking for a diverse mix of our community to join.

What commitment would I need to make to be on the Community Voice Panel?

We're workshopping those details right now with input from a diverse group. It's likely you'll be involved in discussions and asked for your feedback on Council projects.

What would I expect to do on The Community Voice Panel?

The intention for the Community Voice Panel is to be a sounding board for Council projects. Your role is to bring your lived experience, insights, and ideas to the table and help ensure Council decisions reflect the community's needs.

Panel sessions may involve project briefings around a current Council project followed by discussions and structured activities to provide your input on the project.
