by Willoughby Admin, almost 9 years ago

Please take a look at the 'Good Principles of Engagement' document in the library, which can be accessed on the right hand side of the page. These principles have been developed with community, councillor and staff input.

This is your chance to share with us the Principles you think Council should use when communicating with you.

Here are the 'Good Principles of Engagement' that have been developed during our consultation period on the Community Engagement Strategy. Have we missed anything? Are there any Principles you would like added to this list? Are there any Principles that you feel don't belong on this list? Please let us know your thoughts, any feedback is welcome and will be considered when the Strategy is developed. For further information on these Principles please view the 'Good Principles of Engagement' document in the library.? Transparency & Openness? Inclusive Communication? Active Listening? Access? All of these look good. I think some response and reporting of outcomes would be helpful. I have taken part before in surveys about what I would like to see in the local area, and have not been aware of outcomes of such surveys.

Hi Yenda,That's a good point. The Draft Community Engagement Strategy discusses the importance of informing the community of outcomes and what decisions have been made following community engagement. The Draft CES should be available for viewing in the 'library' section shortly. Thanks for your feedback!
