28 June (Wednesday) to 27 July (Thursday) 2023, comment was sought on the Voluntary Planning Agreement (VPA) relating to a planning proposal seeking to amend development controls at 92-96 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood.

This followed the exhibition of the planning proposal for the site in October / November 2022 which sought to:

  • Allow additional permitted use of multi dwelling housing at this site
  • Increase the maximum Height of Buildings (HOB) from 8.5m to 10m and permitting that increased HOB for only multi dwelling housing at this site
  • Increase the Floor Space Ratio (FSR) from 0.4 to 1:1 and permitting that increased FSR for only multi dwelling housing at this site
  • Increase the minimum lot size from 500m² to 2,500m²

The Council gives public notice on a draft VPA relating to this planning proposal in accordance with Clause 204 of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2021.

The draft VPA proposes to provide a monetary contribution of $300,000. If executed, the contribution will be applied towards public works within the North Willoughby Local Centre to support the development growth resulting from the increased density at the subject site.

The draft VPA and its explanatory note can be viewed under “Documents on Exhibition” on the right side panel of this page.
